Tragic

Isn't this blog tragic? I have done things...I have made cards...but I am always in such a hurry to send them to the recipients that I forget to take a photo until AFTER I have sent it...

Pink Bday Card

I made a card for my friend the other day (can't put it up yet- as she hasn't received it and that wouldn't be fair for you all to see before she does now would it?)
I can show you this one though that I did last night for another friend, it's for the challenge over at Jo's blog "Only Joking" for a pink birthday card :)

The flash bounced off the bling! I have used Basic Grey Paper, that pink stripey paper I can't remember what that is...shame shame...it will come back to me I am sure, chipboard alpha, making memories chipboard shape, hand made flower, stamps. Thanks for looking.

Stamping around!

Well tonight I have been experimenting with my Pink Paislee Retro Spring clear stamps and my sparkling H2O's. Its been a while since I just played...I got lost in it and now my back is killing me...I was sitting on the floor and totally lost track of time, which shows I was having fun and immersed in the moment!!! The stamps are these

Clear Stamps - Retro Spring

and the Twinkling H2O set I have.....

They are so pretty...they are from LuminArte!

LuminArte's gallery is here but I dont think these images do the paints justice- you just have to go and get some if you dont have them already. A review of these paints is here. They do have a nice shimmer to them (its the mica in them!).
Go and try them out....:)

Having trouble

It's not that I don't want to create things...I am just having trouble trying to work out how I can do it! Not having a dedicated space is a bad thing and proving harder than I thought. All my scrap trolleys are in Mr Z's room so I can't just go in there and look at things while he is asleep (unless its during the day- which is impossible as Miss A keeps me busy). I have gone in there during the night and nearly turned the light on looking for something stopped myself just in time. I plodded around in the dark opening and shutting drawers and dear Mr Z kept on sleeping while I dropped things, etc etc. I'm trying to work out how we can reorganise things so I can have some space...man its difficult....I'm not sure what the answer is. I have some cards to make too. Bear with me.....I can not convert my laundry into a scrap place like the scrap miser so....not sure what I can do.

First Boy LO!

Here's my first (paper) boy page (I have done some digi pages for friends). More to come!! Funny thing is I forgot to circle the 7 up the top for his birth date and date the LO...I did it afterwards but the camera was recharging so this picture will give you the basic idea!

Bury me deep in supplies!

Well it's not that I haven't been doing anything, I have one layout (LO's) done (my first boy page ever! of Mr Z) and another nearly finished of Miss A! I have been busy with this and that and the other...but today my order arrived from Lifetime Moments (love that place!) I have decided not to buy anything else for the rest of the year. I have so much stuff already in my stash. I was telling this to my husband tonight thus;

ME:  "This is my last scrap buy for the year, I'm not buying anything else"
HIM:  "Didn't you say that last time?"
ME:  "This time I mean it!"
HIM: "Didn't you say THAT last time?"

I seriously don't think I said I mean it the last time......but this time I really mean it....no more stuff until next year....although everytime I get a parcel I always wish I'd ordered more.....its so nice to sit down and look through a package of new supplies! But I must resist! No more stuff until next year......

Unless it's something integral to a project I've already started from my stash of course! Oh dear I sound like a paper addict!!!

MIL Mothers Day Card.

Yes I made my BIL a 40th Birthday card and forgot to take a photo of it...it had a glitzy pop out 40 on the inside too! Nevermind...
Well I made this card tonight for my mother in law but kind of late tonight....and yes I am going to express post it...and no I did not make MY mother a card, she knows she is the best!
Tonight I found a challenge sketch at My Paper World (I just discovered it!) so thought I would base the card on that. I have used patterned paper, vellum, ribbon, prima flowers.
Hope she likes it.....

Picture Frame

My friend has kindly allowed me to share the photo box frame I did for her. I snapped the photo of her kidlets and then gave her the box frame as a surprise. The little chipboard strip has ribbon and the date written on it. I have used Fancy Pants patterned paper, Prima flowers, Bella flowers, chipboard elements, tiny tags, Matisse Derivan paints.

Paper bag

A good friend of mine visited recently and gave Mr Z some gifts...it wasn't until afterwards that I noticed the bag that they were in...how cool is this bag?? Well I think its cool anyway! I realise I am a freak but I really like the natural organic feel to this bag. I googled Green House but couldn't find them on the web.

Let me know if anyone can find them!

Altered Clock

Here's an altered clock I did earlier this year....I just did it to see if I could :)
It was for fathers day but he didn't get it for er...months...because I had ran out of the Collections Chipboard!
Some people alter the clocks and add a photo but I just loved the paper so much I left it.
Paper is from the Cosmo Cricket "Dutch Girl" collection. I also used Basic Grey Rub ons, Matisse Derivan paints, Making Memories chipboard shapes.

I love Basic Grey and an "A"

The company that is- not the colour! I did this layout for a challenge- you had to do a layout about your favourite product. I like Basic Grey for so many reasons- they have some great collections, and some innovative products...
One of my favourite collections is the Lily Kate Range...and I have done heaps of things for Miss A using it...will show them later..but seeing as with have had a "Z" it's only fair to show the "A" (all Lily Kate papers). Not a great photo of it I realise- but you get the idea!

Starting with a Z!

Well to start I thought I would share this blurry photograph of the monogram I made for Mr Z!
I used wooden Z's from Kaiser Crafts, Matisse Derivan paint to paint the letter, sanding block, Making Memories Animal Crackers "Jack" patterned paper,  Basic Grey ribbon, Franchville pin.

Tentacle Number 1!

Welcome to Paper Tentacles...with a lot of encouragement from some of my friends here I am!
All of my tentacles are intact and I will be sharing some of my paper art and craft work, and all things paper in general. I already posted over at Slender Octopus about the fact that I no longer have a craft room..but we will see how I go.
Alot of my creations are for my own children known hereafter as Miss A (recently turned 3) and Mr Z (who is 7 weeks!) I have made things for others also but forgot to take pictures of all of them! I will be more diligent from now on!
Stay tuned....
